At the mglass gmbh company, Mauthausener Straße 20, 4221 Steyregg, Austria (hereinafter referred to as “MGLASS”), we appreciate your visit to our website and your interest in our company and our products and services. We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and would like to make your data processing procedures transparent so that you feel comfortable when visiting our website.

We strictly adhere to data protection regulations when collecting and processing your data. Below we will explain the precautions we take to protect your data and the precise data we collect and/or for which purposes in detail.

The legal basis for our work includes in particular the Data Protection Act 2000, the Data Protection Act 2018, the Basic Data Protection Ordinance and the Telecommunications Act 2003 as periodically amended. These legal provisions underpin the entitlement to protect personal data.

Personal data is collected and subsequently processed if you voluntarily provide us with this information, for example as part of a registration process (e.g. contact form) or consent to the use of cookies.

All personal data shall be collected, processed and used in accordance with the applicable provisions to protect personal data, primarily for the purpose of the services you have commissioned and for processing your enquiries.

How do we obtain your data?

  1. Data that you convey/communicate to us

As a general rule, you need not provide us with any personal information directly when using our website. However, for certain services, such as our contact form, you may need to provide us with personal information such as: Your full name and your email address, etc. to be able to use the respective service at all (e.g. your email address is needed to respond to questions received via the contact form).

  1. Data that you make available/provide in the course of using our services

We also receive a certain amount of data automatically and for technical reasons already when you visit our website. Each time a user accesses our website and each time a file is retrieved, access data concerning this process is stored in the form of log files. The following data is acquired during this process:

  • The data volume transmitted;
  • The names of the file or page called up;
  • Notification of whether the retrieval was successful;
  • Notification of why an attempted retrieval was unsuccessful;

We require this data for technical reasons to display our website to you and to guarantee stability and security.

 

III.     Appropriation, legal basis, storage period and data receiver

The legal bases underpinning the processing of your personal data include the following in particular:

  • Contract execution or execution of pre-contractual measures (Art 6 para 1 lit b GDPR);
  • Fulfilment of legal obligations (Art 6 para 1 lit c GDPR);
  • Your consent (Art 6 Abs 1 lit a GDPR) (e.g. contact form, cookies etc.);
  • Protection of legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

If you have given us your consent to the processing of your personal data, it is processed only in accordance with the purposes defined in the declaration of consent and to the scope agreed therein. You can withdraw consent that was granted with effect for the future at any time (see also related Point VII).

You must provide the personal data required to establish and implement our business relationship and which we require for the purpose of processing the respective service (e.g. contact form).

If you do not provide us with data, we are generally obliged to decline to conclude a contract or perform certain services.

However, you are not obligated to give consent to the processing of data that is not relevant or is not required for the fulfilment of the contract or the specific service.

We process your personal data on an as-required basis throughout the entire business relationship (from initiation and processing through to contractual termination) or for the duration of the individual services (e.g. answering questions/requests that are received via a  contact form) and beyond, pursuant to legal storage regulations and documentation obligations or provided we retain a legitimate interest in storage to ward off possible liability claims.

Within MGLASS, the sections or employees requiring your data to fulfil their contractual and/or legal obligations and safeguard their legitimate interests will receive it. We also pass on your data to order processors (IT service providers) commissioned by us, if they need these data to perform the relevant assigned task. The contract processors commissioned by us have undertaken to comply with the applicable data protection regulations. Order processing contracts were concluded in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. IV. Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. Cookies are small pieces of text information that enable the user to be recognised and your use of our website to be analysed. The information generated by these cookies is transferred to the server of the provider and stored there. Their purpose is to make our Internet pages more user-friendly, effective and safer. Cookies also help measure the frequency of page views and facilitate general navigation. They do not cause any detrimental effect.

VII. Our services

  1. Contact form

When you contact us via the contact form and email, the data you provide will be stored by us to answer your questions. We delete the data accumulated in this context as soon as the storage is no longer necessary, or we restrict the processing if legal retention obligations are in place.

  1. Online application

You have the opportunity to apply for a job advertised by us via our website. For this purpose, we require the following data: Name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address and any other application documents that you send us (e.g. curriculum vitae, letter of motivation, letter of recommendation, certificates, etc.). The data you provide will be used exclusively to facilitate the application process.

When using our online application tool, you agree that the data determined in the course of the online application and contained in the documents sent with the written application as well as data accumulated in the course of any interview may be stored by MGLASS in an applicant database to coordinate and process the application.

Your data will only be passed on to MGLASS personnel managers.

Any application documents you send to us will be stored for a period of six months. If you wish, we can also retain your application for future consideration. You must expressly consent to the same in this case.

Without your consent for processing this data we cannot offer you the possibility of online application. Your consent can be withdrawn at any time via  mglass@mglass.at

 

VIII.   Consent and right of revocation

If your consent is necessary for the processing of your data, we will only proceed to process the same after your express consent has been given.

As a general rule, we do not process data of minors and are not authorised to do so. In giving your consent, you confirm that you have reached the age of 14 or that you have obtained the consent of your legal representative to do so.

Your consent can be withdrawn at any time via this email: mglass@mglass.at. In such cases, data previously stored about you will be anonymised and subsequently used only for statistical purposes without any personal reference. The revocation of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of consent up to the point of revocation.

 

IX. Data Security

Keeping your data secure is our top priority. Accordingly, we make every effort to take all necessary technical and organisational security measures to ensure secure data processing and process your personal data in such a way that it is protected against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss or destruction or access by unauthorised third parties. Our security measures are also improved on an ongoing basis in line with the current state of the art.

 

X. Your rights

You are generally entitled to the rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data transferability, revocation and objection at any time. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have otherwise been violated in any way, you may complain to the supervisory authority. XI. Information and contact

You retain control of all personal data that you provide to us. Upon request, we will gladly inform you in writing whether we store any of your personal data and if yes, describe it. At this point, you can also request that your data stored with us be deleted, provided that it is not required to facilitate processing of contractual relationships between ourselves or we are not obliged to store the same for legal reasons or we need the data to ward off any liability claims.
